About this vehicle
Fast Road Triumph TR5 with overdrive. The engine built to fast road specification produces 180 bhp with forged piston and steel conrods. A 4 row alloy radiator and electric fan help cooling along with an oil cooler. The exhaust is a stainless steel Supersports system matched with a 6 into 1 stainless extractor manifold.
The gearbox has been uprated to take the extra power along with the overdrive which is the later, stronger, J-Type unit. The clutch has been uprated and matched with a hydraulic release bearing.
The brakes have been uprated with AP racing 4 pot alloy calipers and vented brake discs on the front and Alfin brake drums on the rear.
The suspension has been upgraded with poly bushes, Spax shockers all round and uprated road springs. The rear drive shafts and hubs are uprated , a quick steering rack has also been fitted making the car more responsive
For safety a full roll cage has been fitted which also goes behind the dashboard across the bulkhead. The seat belts are of the 4 point harness variety fitted with blue leather rally seats. The fuel tank sits behind a fire wall and is foam filled for added safety.
